As predicted we’re back to normal for this week’s column, so let’s get going with a look at the Wednesday 6.20pm doubles where there were two Star Bowlers.

The shining stars were Micaylah Downey from Dream Team with 108 over average and Adam O’Connor from Centurions with 101 over average for the series.
The only other for this week was from the Monday Juniors, and that was Patrick Govier from Flaming Kingpins who scored a staggering 138 over average for the series.
Star bowler of the week and winner of the Auto Wash compliments of Pete’s Car Wash, was of course Patrick Govier who presented us with that outstanding 138 over average for the series.
And guess who gets a second mention - you’re right.
It’s Patrick Govier, but this time he was the high roller champion and winner of the three free practice games, because he managed to bowl 203, which was a personal best for the young star.
Other bowlers seeking some practice included Kyle Jones 210, Jim Hartley 210, Micaylah Downey 211, Mal Kay 210, Nick Flannery 207, Alicia McFadden 201, Ross Southwell 223, Steven Eslick 233 and David Quinlan 200.
This week’s almost made it hero and winner of the open order from Seven Seas Cafe was Logan Bryant who scored 124, another personal best on this week’s lanes.
Others looking for a tasty feed included Greg Dean 199, Debbie McKeown 193, Will Mastronardi 147, Derry Fuge 144, Marilyn Gard 148, Carol Trott 157, Jim Gavin 178, Margaret Jones 152, Jay Pagett176, Hanna Connelly 109, Eden Hay 166, Chris McConnell 195, Steve McConnell 143, Adam O’Connor 186, Linda McFadden 173, Peta Clark 190, Ron Quinlan 191 and Adele Penrose 126. Some great scores in amongst that group of bowlers. Well done to all.
The fourth female of note for April was Debbie McKeown, who recorded a whopping score of 193, which was 51 over average.
But, the female of note for April and winner of the gift certificate from MJ’s All Hair-All Occasions was Verona Gavin, who earlier in the month scored 218 – a personal best, also - which was 72 over average.
The fourth man of the moment for April, and eventual winner of the gift certificate from Guys Cuts the barber was Patrick Govier whose personal best score of 203 was 85 over average and was part of his 138 over average for the series. A great result.
Junior of the week and winner of the hot shot sports award from Domino’s Pizza was, making him a quadruple winner, Patrick Govier, all on the strength of what has been shown above.
A really great effort from young Patrick.
And just to show no favouritism, I found two double dippers, these being William Peate who scored both 149 and 97, and Julie Hoogenboom who scored both 137 and 95. Two great scores from two great players.
